Praxis 2026 Funding Opportunities

Praxis Spinal Cord Institute is pleased to announce two new Requests for Applications (RFAs) to advance evidence-informed care and improve outcomes for people living with spinal cord injury (SCI) in Canada. These complementary funding opportunities support both the development of new knowledge and tools and the implementation of SCI health care solutions in real-world settings. They are available on a limited-term basis to align with anticipated funding commitments and timelines.

Synthesizing Knowledge using AI-Enabled ApproachesImplementing SCI Health Care Solutions in Canada

This funding opportunity supports projects that synthesize knowledge to strengthen evidence-informed SCI care in Canada.

Projects may include updating or creating clinical practice guidelines, clinical protocols/guidance documents, policy briefs, as well as creating tools/algorithms or strategy documents to inform future funding proposal.

Projects are encouraged to explore AI-enabled approaches to improve the efficiency, sustainability, and scalability of knowledge development.
This funding opportunity supports projects that put existing SCI solutions into practice to improve care delivery in real-world settings.

Projects may include implementing a biomarker-based approach, adapting part of SCI Standard or guideline for use in care, introducing a checklist or pathway, deploying a toolkit, or other validated/evidence-based solution(s).
Applicants may request between $25,000 CAD and $50,000 CAD per project.Applicants may request up to $25,000 CAD per project
